As more and more of the world’s billions of mobile phone users come online for the first time, the number of smartphones worldwide has continued to rise throughout the years. Here are the nations with the most smartphone users worldwide, according to Statista, as cellphones become a necessity for humanity:

1. China – 911.92 Million (91.192 Crore)

Since 2011, the number of mobile phone users in China has risen rapidly, reaching a new high of more than 1.6 billion users in November 2019. Between May 2019 and September 2022, China saw an increase in the number of mobile phone subscribers (measured in millions). There are over 143.93 billion people in China, 91.192 billion of whom use smartphones.

2. India – 439.42 Million (43.942 Crore)

In 2021, Indians will use their phones for around five hours every day. There are around 138 million people living in India, 43.942 million of whom use cellphones. Only 22% of adults in India have smartphones, while 51% have feature phones. Unbelievably, 26% of Indian people do not even own a phone.

3. United States – 270 Million (27 Crore)

There are around 33.1 million individuals living in the United States, of which 27 million use cellphones. Ownership of smartphones has surpassed that of all other computing devices. 84% of households had smartphones, compared to 78% that had a desktop or laptop. At 63%, tablet ownership lagged behind.

4. Indonesia – 160.23 Million (16.023 Crore)

6. Russia – 99.93 Million (9.993 Crore)

The penetration of these devices in Mexican households has climbed by roughly four percentage points since 2015, despite the fact that this number cannot be compared to earlier years due to a change in methodology.

9. Germany – 65.24 Million (6.524 Crore)

In Germany, there are about 8.3 million people, 6.524 million of whom use cellphones. In 2021, there will be 62.6 million smartphone owners in Germany, a number that has only increased in recent years. This amount was 6.3 million in 2009.

10. Vietnam – 61.37 Million (6.137 Crore)
