The saying goes that the camera you have on you is the best camera. And for the vast majority of us, that means the smartphone camera. While keeping in touch is a smartphone’s primary function, the cameras on modern models can compete with dedicated cameras, and advancements in smartphone photography have all but supplanted the point-and-shoot cameras that were once the norm.
1. Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra
A super-powerful mobile, both in terms of its camera and most of its feature set, is Samsung’s top-end phone for 2022. It includes the same variety of cameras as the S21 Ultra, as well as the same enormous pixel count, pixel binning, and 8K video recording capabilities, but it also has a number of new settings and improved specifications to make it a better option for photographers.
2. iPhone 14 and 14 Pro Max
Iphone has always provided great sense in photography, but with amazing features of iphone 14 and iphone 14 pro max, it turns out to satisfy the users and their requirements.
3. Google Pixel 6 Pro
It’s not even close to starting to date just because it’s a year old. In the Creative Bloq Awards 2022, the Pixel 6 Pro won best camera phone of the year. It includes a powerful telephoto and ultra-wide camera in addition to a large 50MP sensor on its main camera that captures a lot of light.
4. Sony Xperia 1 IV
For those who enjoy zoom photography, the Xperia 1 IV’s zoom camera’s moving lens, which enables continuous optical zoom between 3.5x and 5.2x, gives the phone a competitive edge. The phone also has a physical shutter button that can be used to capture pictures or locate focus. In some circumstances, such as when you want to focus and wait for the right moment for the shot, this physical shutter button can be helpful.
5. OnePlus 10 Pro
The cooperation between OnePlus and professional camera manufacturer Hasselblad has once again paid off, as the company’s high-end phone for 2022 features an outstanding trio of rear cameras. In several shots, we found that the primary, ultra-wide, and telephoto cameras offer a nice shallow depth, however some may find the AI optimizations to have oversaturated the images a little.
6. Oppo Find X5 Pro
Thanks to assistance from Swedish photo company Hasselblad, the Oppo Find X5 Pro has been one of the most talked-about high-end smartphones this year, primarily because of its camera. On the front is a 32MB selfie camera, and on the rear are three cameras that are neatly arranged into a plateau: a 50MP main camera with an incredibly fast f/1.7 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera with an f/2.2 aperture, and a 13MP telephoto lens with an f/2.4 aperture. The dedicated microscopic macro lens for the Find X3 Pro is gone.
7. Realme GT 2 Pro
Realme isn’t a brand that frequently appears on “best camera phone” lists, typically because it doesn’t produce high-end smartphones. However, the GT 2 Pro is Realme’s first high-end device, earning Realme a spot on this list. Although the phone’s 50MP primary and ultra-wide cameras are excellent, its 40x microscope camera is the real reason it belongs on this list.
8. Samsung Galaxy Z Fold 4
The Z Fold 4 has five cameras total, three on the back, one in the front display for selfies, and a fifth in the inside display. The latter is observable from some angles but practically invisible from others. Although they don’t have Samsung’s greatest cameras, the previous foldable had a 50MP main camera with an f/1.8 lens, a 12MP ultra-wide, and a 10MP, 3x zoom telephoto. These cameras are a significant improvement.
9. Samsung Galaxy 21 Ultra
If you can locate a good deal, the Samsung Galaxy S21 Ultra is still a fantastic option. With a 108MP main camera and 100x digital zoom, it offers tremendous flexibility and shares a lot of similarities with the S22 Ultra at the top of our list.
10. Samsung Galaxy S20 Ultra
If you want to take stunning photos, whether it’s a sunny day or you’re in very dark surroundings, this is the best smartphone you can purchase. Four lenses, including a 108MP wide-angle and a 40MP telephoto, are on the rear of the device. These are capable of capturing an astounding amount of detail in your pictures, allowing you to crop them without losing any clarity.
